Yo Maps Featuring Stonebwoy On A Song “I Wanna Eat”

Olio Records front liner Yo Maps, whose real name is Elton Mulenga, bounces back on the music scene with a song titled “I Wanna Eat.” The song “I Wanna Eat” will be available for streaming on the 25th of October. Yo Maps is one of the most talented singers, songwriters, and music producers.

Yo Maps went live on his Facebook page and played a song tagged “Miracle,” and a lot of music fans were expecting that that be the next song that Yo Maps would release, and he did the unexpected and released another song tagged “I Wanna Eat,” which features a Ghanaian Afropop, Afro-dancehall, and reggae musician from Ashaiman, Accra, Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy.

The song will be out tomorrow 8 hours.

Yo Maps Faces Backlash After Releasing a Campaign Song

Olios Record presents Yo Map with a brand-new masterpiece, an interesting and controversial song titled “Aleteka.” The word, or rather the title, Aleteka, can be translated into English as “ruling.” This new song is a campaign song for the UPND government.

“Aleteka,” which means “He is still ruling,” referring to the current Zambian president, Hakainde Hichilema. The song wasn’t posted on his YouTube channel; hence, it brought a lot of controversy on social media. People are now saying Yo Maps has turned heel on the Zambian people. This is being stated because in 2021, under the Patriotic Front (PF), Yo Maps released a song titled “Aleteka Nakambi.”

Court rejects Mwizukanji’s bid to have Yo Maps increase child support for Bukata

THE Lusaka Magistrate Court has tossed out a request by Prudence Nakamba, popularly known as Mwizukanji to have musician Elton Mulenga, alias Yo Maps increase monthly maintenance for their daughter, Bukata, from K3,000 because of the high cost of living.
The court ruled that the request could not be considered in the current proceedings, which were primarily focused on the issue of custody and access rights.
This is in a matter where Yo Maps applied to vary a 2022 consent order and opted to seek primary custody of the child.
In her affidavit in opposition, Mwizukanji opposed the musician’s application and countered by asking the court to adjust the monthly maintenance upwards, arguing that the cost of living had significantly increased since the order was made.
She also urged the court to order Yo Maps to pay Bukata’s school fees and related expenses in full, adding that she provided a stable and supportive environment for their daughter and that the musician should contribute more to her welfare.
However, in his reply filed on September 2, 2025, Yo Maps rejected the request, describing it as unreasonable.
He stated that while he was willing to continue paying school fees and reasonable expenses related to Bukata’s welfare, it was unfair for Mwizukanji to expect an increase in maintenance.
In her ruling, Magistrate Mwampuli noted that although the plea for higher maintenance was included in Mwizukanji’s affidavit, it could not be addressed within the current case, which did not properly place the matter of maintenance before the court.
“The court has noted that the Affidavit in Opposition included a plea for a review
or variation of the child’s maintenance. This requires an extensive examination of the parties’ current means, which evidence was not fully available before this court,” read the document.
“The issue of maintenance would be best resolved in a proper application where the
court is moved, and parties are given adequate opportunity to address the issues. I will accordingly decline to award this request, which was in any event not included
in counsel’s oral submissions and prayer before court.”
The court also dismissed an application by Mwizukanji to have portions of an affidavit sworn by Kidist Kifle Mulenga, Yo Maps’ wife, expunged from the record, ruling that there was no legal restriction preventing a non-party from swearing an affidavit.

Yo Maps, who is one of Zambia’s top-notch, vocalist, singer, performer, song composer, and songwriter, shocks the people of Zambia with a brand-new, interesting campaign song for the UPND government. This record by Yo Maps is titled “Aleteka,” which means “He is still ruling,” referring to the current Zambian president, Hakainde Hichilema.

In 2021, when Yo Maps was signed under Kalandanya Music Promotions, he released a campaign song for the Patriotic Front (PF), which was the ruling government then, and he received backlash on social media. After the backlash, he came and said, “Music is business at the end of the day.”

Court grants Yo Maps custody of daughter Bukata!

Court grants Yo Maps custody of daughter Bukata!

The Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has granted singer Elton Mulenga, popularly known as Yo Maps joint custody of his daughter, Bukata, with her mother, Prudence Nankamba, also known as Mwizukanji.

“Primary and physical custody is granted to the complainant, with liberal and reasonable access to the respondent to enable the child to develop a stronger relationship with her father,” ruled Resident Magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli when delivering the judgment.

Under the new custody terms, Yo Maps will spend all school holidays, public holidays and Bukata’s birthday with his daughter. He will also have fortnightly weekend visits, picking her up from school or Mwizukanji’s home after 16:30 hours and returning her by 15:30 hours the day before school resumes. The first visit has been scheduled for October 24, 2025.

Mwizukanji has been directed to facilitate and encourage communication between father and daughter.

Additionally, the court ordered that the Facebook page “Bukata” be deleted immediately unless both parents agree to keep it active. Any posting or commercial use of Bukata’s image must have mutual consent, and any earnings will be placed in a trust fund for her benefit.
Magistrate Mwamfuli emphasized the importance of cooperation between both parents in the best interest of the child.
